The Depository of Geek- Television of Tomorrow

That friends is the first transparent television.  It is made by a company called Loewe and is a concept television right now (i.e. is not in active production and therefore unable to be purchased at this time).  However, it does show where television and home entertainment technology is going in the next several years.

Personally I think this television shows that soon the line between tech in sci-fi films and the real world will not be so different and the line between them will blur.  I have always believed that by the time my two boys are teenagers cell phones wil be like this television, transparent with clean lines.  Touchscreens will be the standard with keyboards slowly going the way of the dodo.

But back to the TV above.  Apparently Apple is looking to possibily acquire Loewe and some think may use this design for their long rumored Apple powered television.  Time will tell if Apple will indeed pull the trigger.  Personally I am intrqued by what Apple may be able to do to revolutionize the television and move us closer to a time when the lines between televisions and computers blur.

So what say you my reader: Is this something you would be proud to hang on your wall?

For more on this television, the details can be found at the original article  here.

Great television.  Will love to hang it on my wall someday!
